Comebacker Academy’s Turkey Slugger Showdown

We are now switching from team sign-ups to individual sign-ups due to participants having difficulty forming teams. We get it! It’s tough having to pick thru friends. We are making it easy! Just sign up and it will be up to the randomizer to make the teams! Then you will still get that invite to the next birthday party!!
Get ready for an exciting baseball event at the Comebacker Academy’s Turkey Slugger Showdown! This HitTrax baseball event is open to players 12U (12 years and under before May 1st, 2025) and 14U (14 years and under before May 1st, 2025). Games will be played using a pitching machine set at approximately 45 mph for the 12U players and 55 mph for the 14U players, ensuring a challenging and competitive experience for all participants.
Event Details:
– **Age Groups**:
– 12U (12 years and under before May 1st, 2025)
– 14U (14 years and under before May 1st, 2025)
– **Game Format**:
– Team size will be determined by number of participants at each age level. (Formats may include: H2H, 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4)
– Teams will face off against each other in pool play.
– Each team will play 2 pool games.
– Based on the standings from pool play, a seeded single-elimination bracket will be set.
– **Mercy Rules**:
– 15 runs after three innings
– 12 runs after four innings
– 10 runs after five innings
– **Starting Count**:
– All players will start with a one ball, one strike count.
– **Staff Support**:
– Comebacker Academy staff will be present to ensure that each game is played according to the rules.
– **Note**:
– If for any reason the HitTrax units do not register a swing or a play, it will be voided and replayed. All players must have signed the Comebacker Academy Wavier form to participate.
– **Prizes**:
– The winners in each age bracket will be crowned with championship rings.
